Shan Shan and Friends - Children's Book Series

Since 2022
Ongoing
Illustration showing Shan Shan out sketching under a tree by the river, with her animal friends.

This is a children's picture book series that I'm working on as both an author and illustrator, featuring a spirited young girl named Shan Shan along with her animal friends.

Here are pitches for the titles that I'm currently working on:

Shan Shan Has No Friends?

She's a quirky introvert who befriends books and animals instead of other kids. Her classmates think she's weird. Her animal friends think she's magical. And Shan Shan thinks: maybe it's time to make some human friends after all. Having someone else to trade snacks with or go bug hunting during recess would be nice, right? With the help of her quirky animal crew - a water monitor, an otter, a myna, and a kitten - she tries her best to impress at school... but their wacky attempts all end in disaster. Shan Shan is just about to give up when the unconditional love from her animal friends finally helps her seek out that one girl who might just be as weird as her...
